Founded in 1887 by Tarakusu Yamaha the company was known as Nippon Gakki S.K.K. Co. and located in Hamamatsu City, Japan. Yamaha was the first producer of pianos in Japan and steadily increased production of Yamaha pianos until his death in 1916. Now split into 2 companies:- The Yamaha Corporation of Japan & The Yamaha Corporation of America. All Yamaha Grand pianos are built in Japan. Currently in stock at Carson’s of Duneane Ltd. we have 2 Yamaha G2 Grand Piano’s. One Mahogany Satin and one Mahogany gloss. Both these instruments are in excellent condition and have the unique rich tone of a Yamaha piano.
